Luke: good from 40! Looks like it would have been good from 50 if you ask me

Luke went 2 for 2 on Field Goals last week from 30 and 32 yards. A few nice punts and KO’s too.
“A big-time field goal”
“The point”
Kind words for Luke from the guy behind the mic.
Our little sporty sports
Luke had a busy night kicking for the Freshman team on Thursday. They tried a 29 yd FG, made it! Had a lot of PAT’s and good long kickoffs, although several went out of bounds. One of his Kickoff’s was a touchback!
Friday he made his Varsity debut as a Freshman! His first play was a punt he’d pry rather you didn’t watch. He’s #38 in the Varsity white jersey. He’ll be #39 in all other situations. I figure the butterflies were working overtime on Friday night. He ended up on PAT duty (2-for-2) and got one more ‘ok’ punt in during the second half.
It’s the beginning of our busy sports season.
Josey’s team played 6 volleyball matches on Saturday in Bondurant. She wracked up Blocks and Kills as per usual. Team was 3-3 on the day. Made it to the Silver Pool for the first time since we’ve been a part of. things (third year). Follow along here
Luke also had a few good kickoffs in the scrimmage the other night. Here’s one.
Luke’s first ever field goal attempt* was good from 40!
*They attempted one last season but it got blocked
Love you kiddo!
View from the top! Was fun to take the kids to see the Rockies
We have a top blocker in the house!

Kicking camp in the Smoky Mountains
For father’s day (and belated Mother’s day) took our bikes to the folks’ and rode his trail with him.
Yesterday was spent at Kohl’s Kicking Camp learning how to kick and punt. Very informative, even for us parents!

Luke and I set PR’s on the bikes today. 26.1 miles. We have rubber legs this evening.
Just finished Andor. A+
Drove through Vinton last weekend. A big U-Haul was backed up to the front door of the downtown gun store. I figure they were preparing to lay siege to the library.
Long Way Home is good too
